Winnie Chan
LAc. MPA, MsAc

Hi, I’m Winnie— licensed acupuncturist based in New York City, specializing in hormonal health, fertility, and chronic pain management. My path to acupuncture wasn’t just professional—it was deeply personal. After years of struggling with debilitating endometriosis, multiple surgeries, and the emotional toll of living with chronic pain, I turned to acupuncture for healing. It changed everything.

As a “wounded healer,” I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my practice. I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your body doesn’t seem to be working with you. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others find relief, balance, and a sense of control through integrative care.

My approach combines traditional Chinese medicine with a modern understanding of hormonal health. Whether you're navigating endometriosis, PCOS, fertility challenges, or simply seeking to feel better in your body, I’m here to support you—compassionately and holistically.

Building a Practice That Listens:

Whether this is your first time trying acupuncture or you’ve been on a long road searching for answers—I’m so glad you're here. I know how vulnerable it can feel to seek help, especially when you’ve been living with pain, fatigue, or feeling misunderstood. My promise is to meet you with compassion, care, and deep listening.

Your healing journey is yours alone—but you don’t have to walk it alone.

In our time together, you’ll have space to exhale. We’ll talk about what’s been weighing on you, what your body’s been holding, and what balance looks like for you. From there, we’ll begin a treatment tailored to your needs—not just your symptoms.

So come as you are, no pressure, no perfection. Just you, as you are. And together, we’ll begin the process of restoring harmony—gently, naturally, and with intention.

During your first visit, we’ll begin by getting to know you—your health history, your unique symptoms, and your goals for treatment. This is a time for us to connect deeply and understand what your body needs to heal.

  • I’ve lived with endometriosis since I was 16. Over the years, the pain impacted nearly every part of my life—I missed out on graduations, birthdays, weddings, and so many milestones that should have been joyful. As a teenager, I spent lunch periods in the school nurse’s office with a heating pad, trying to manage pain no one else could see. I grew quiet and withdrawn, often turning down invitations because I simply couldn’t show up. At one point, I stopped being invited altogether.

Despite being under the care of top surgeons and specialists—including endometriosis excision experts, urologists, and colorectal surgeons—I endured over 50 ER visits and seven surgeries. The physical toll was overwhelming. But the emotional isolation was just as profound.

The Turning Point: Discovering Chinese Medicine

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Herbs changed my life. This combination gave me hope, relief, and strength. My endometriosis experience led me to dedicate my career to helping others with complex hormonal and reproductive health conditions—so no one else has to feel alone or unheard the way I once did.

At my practice, I blend Traditional Chinese Modalities with a deep respect for integrative care. I work with women navigating endometriosis, PCOS, infertility, menopause, and more—often alongside their Western medical providers. My goal is to support the body as a whole, restoring balance and vitality in a sustainable way.
